1. Nitrogen fixation:- during this process nitrogen is fixed by free-living or symbiotic bacteria.This fixed nitrogen is then used by the plants for their development and growth.
2. Ammonification:- in this process bacteria convert the organic nitrogen within the remains of dead plants or animals into ammonia.
3. Nitrification:- in this process some soil-living bacteria or nitrifying bacteria such as Nitrosomonas.....
4. Denitrification:- in this process nitrates is converted back into the nitrogen gas, completing the nitrogen cycle.
