define normal lapse rate in troposphere
Answers
NORMAL LAPSE RATE:
In the troposphere, the temperature decreases with an increase in height. It increases by 1°c for every 165m. This is called normal lapse rate of temperature.
⇒Troposphere is the layer which decrease with increase the temperature of air and in height at the rate of 1 degree C for every 165 m So this is called Normal lapse rate of temperature .
Troposphere :
• Troposphere is the lowest layer of the atmosphere .
• Troposphere extends to a height of about 8 km at the poles and about 18 km at the Equator.
• Troposphere is the densest part of the atmosphere .
• Troposphere is lowest and densest layer of the atmosphere so it absorb maximum heat of radiation which comes out from earth surface.
• Troposphere in found the dust particles , water vapour and other impurities .
• Troposphere in found all weather related phenomena like fog , clouds , rainfall , snowfall , storms , lightning etc occur here
