Explanation: normality can be defined as number of gram equivalents of moles present in one litre of solution.

And we can prepare 0.1 N NaOH solution as :-

0.1 = x/40 × 1000/100

0.1 × 40/10 = x

So X = 0.4 gm

So by mixing point 4 gram NaOH in 100 ml water. we can prepare 0.1 N NaOH solution
