Normality is a rarely used expression which indicates the concentration of a solution. It is defined as the gram equivalent weight per liter of solution. The reasonnormality is rarely used lies in the definition of gram equivalent weight................

\huge\textbf{Normality :}

Normality can be defined as the number of grams equivalents present in 1 litre of solution.

Normality = \frac{Number\:of\:gram\:Equivalent}{Volume\:of\:solution}

Number\:of\:grams\: equivalent = \frac{Given\:mass}{Equivalent\:mass}

= \frac{w}{equivalent\:weight}

 Equivalent\:weight = \frac{Molar\:mass}{Valency}

= \frac{m}{valency}

N = Valency × \frac{w}{m} × \frac{1000}{volume}

\textbf{N} = {Valency\:×\:M}
