The nucleus is a small, round and membrane-bound structure found in eukaryotic cells and contains the cell's chromosomes.

Major parts of the nucleus are:

  1. Nucleolemma: It is a limiting membrane that the nucleus and the cytoplasm. It also transports important material between the nucleus and the cytoplasm.
  2. Nucleolus: It is a dark structure, spherical in shape and present inside the nucleus.
  3. Chromatin: Made up of DNA and histone protein, Chromatin is a genetic material present in the nucleus.
  4. Nuclear matrix: Nuclear matrix is also called nucleoplasm. It is a semifluid homogenous substance.

Above are the major parts of the nucleus.

  1. Nucleus- it is a membrane bound organelle comprising of all chromosomes. there are various pores through which molecules move out and in of the cell. it control the activities which occur in the cell and helps in it growth and development. it also contains the genes which are responsible of hereditary.
  2. its parts - it consist of  nuclear envelope, nuclear lamina, nucleolus, chromosomes and nucleoplasm. all these components work together in a combined way to perform all the functions.
