The frigid zones are the coldest regions on Earth. They are summerless and generally covered with ice and snow. Since these are located at Earth's poles, each is only bound by a single line of latitude: the Arctic Circle in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Antarctic Circle in the Southern Hemisphere.

Frigid Zone is the uppermost and the lowermost zone of the Earth which include the Northern and the Southern Pole . As the Rays of the sun fall slant on it with the shorter reach of light the area gets cold . Thus Frigid Zone is the coldest zone of Earth.
