thallophyta:-

any of the Thallophyta, a plant division in some older classification schemes, comprising algae, fungi, and lichens

bryophyta:-

any of the Bryophyta, a phylum of nonvascular plants comprising the true mosses and liverworts.

pteridophyta:-

a division of flowerless green plants that comprises the ferns and their relatives.

spermiatophyta:-

a division of higher plants that is coordinate with Bryophyta and Pteridophyta and coextensive with the classes Gymnospermae and Angiospermae.

(a) Plant body is thallus-like i.e., not differentiated into stem, leaves and roots.

(b) These plants are mostly aquatic

(c) Reproductive organs are mostly  unicellular (i.e. – one-celled structure)

(d) Zygote generally does not develop into multicellular embryo while still enclosed within the female reproductive structure.

(e) There is diversity of thallus structure in algae, ranging from the microscopic uricellular habit to the giant macroscopic seeweeds (e.g. macrocystis) which may be over 100 meters long.
