when we inhale air it enters through our nostrils and reaches our lungs and enters the tiny air sacs called as alveoli .
alveoli is covered by a mesh of thin blood vessels

air enters the alveoli and oxygen present in alveoli enters these blood vessels.
and carbon dioxide is expelled out after entering these tiny blood vessels oxygen combines with haemoglobin present in our blood to produce oxyhaemoglobin
