One Newton is the amount of force required to accelerate a body of mass 1 kg by 1 m/sec/sec acceleration.

One Newton is the amount of force required to change of momentum of a body by 1  kg-m/sec  in 1 second.


One Newtons can also be defined in terms of the gravitational force on an object of specified mass, exerted by the Earth.

   One Newtons is the force that does a work of one Joule in  in displacing an object in its direction by 1 meter.
