An Acid is a compound which ionises completely to give H^+ ions or Hydronium ions.

Acid has acidic property due to its property to ionise water.

An Acid shows its behaviour in presence of liquid only.

i.e. in presence of water

Acid are of two types

•Mineral

•Organic

pH scale is a scale or say a type of measurement tool which helps us two find if a substance is acidic or basic

It has digits from 1-14

If it's less than 7 then the substance is acidic.

and it's less than 4 then it's a strong acid.

here is your answer..

acid...

An acid is a chemical substance, usually a liquid, which contains hydrogen and can react with other substances to form salts. Some acids burn or dissolve other substances that they come into contact with.

ph scale...

The pH scale measures how strong an acid or alkali is. If it is midpoint on the scale, it is considered neutral – the concentration of hydrogen ions is equal to the concentration of hydroxide ions.
