when water goes in or out from the cell is known as osmosis.
water will enter the cell if the concentration of water is low inside the cell and high outside the cell.and water will exit from the cell if it's concentration is high inside the cell and low outside the cell.
eg. are
a person who sells vegetables constantly throws water on vegetables because when he throws water on vegetables concentration of water is high outside the cell than inside the cell so water moves inside the cell. most of the cells sell up and the vegetables also sells as the cells are swelled up.
