hey mate here is your answer
osmosis - the movement of water molecules from higher concentrations to the lower concentrations is called osmosis
it is differ from diffusion because Diffusion can occur in any mixture, including one which includes a semipermeable membrane, while osmosis always occurs across a semipermeable membrane.
One big difference between osmosis and diffusion is that both solvent and solute particles are free to move in diffusion, but when we talk about osmosis, only the solvent molecules (water molecules) cross the membrane.

Hey mate , your answer;:
Osmosis is a special case of diffusion in which there is movement of water molecules from a region of higher concentration through a semi-permeable membrane to a region of low water concentration.
Osmosis is different from diffusion in the following two ways-
1.Osmosis requires a semi-permeable r whereas diffusion does not require a semi-permeable membrane.a
2.In osmosis , the water molecules only move from a region of high to low water concentration whereas in diffusion, the solids, gases and even the liquids move from a region of high to low water conservation.
hope it helps......
