★ So, the parasites are dependent either wholly of partially on the host for nutrition e.g., plasmodium, liver flukes, Cuscuta, Ascaris etc.

★ There are two types of parasitic plants.

(i) Holo Parasitic: Those which completely depend on Nutrition, Example: Orobanki. This is found on the roots of potato, tomato and brinjal plant.

(ii) Partial Parasitic: Some plant partially depend on other, are called the partial parasite. Example: Sandal plant.
