Parasitism:

The mode of population interaction, in which the two organisms interacting with one another, one gets benefited whereas the other is completely harmed, it is called parasitism.

Justification of Parasitism:

The term parasite refers to those species or organism which causes harm to the other species. In case of parasitism, one species which gets benefited is called parasite, whereas the other which is being harmed is called host.

The host is the species to which the parasite gets attached. The parasite extracts the entire nutrient prepared by the host without leaving anything. Through this way it kills the host and moves to the other species.

Malaria parasite, cuscuta, etc., are all example of this type of interaction.
