Pascal Law:- Pressure exerted is same in all directions in a fluid at rest. For a liquid in equilibrium the pressure is same at all the points in a horizontal plane. Suppose the pressure were not equal in different parts of the fluid then there would be a flow as the fluid will have some net force acting on it. hence in the absence of the flow the pressure in the fluid must be same everywhere. Wind is flow of air due to pressure differences.

Pascal's law states that the pressure applied to any part of the surface of an enclosed liquid is transmitted equally throughout the liquid. Pascal's law finds an important application in the hydraulic press. it consists of a cylinder and piston of large diameter, which is connected by a pipe to a cylinder and piston of small diameter. Both the cylinders and the tube are filled with oil or water. If a force is applied on small piston, the pressure is transmitted equally in all directions. So, large piston will also experiences same pressure. Now by applying less force we generated large force in hydraulic press..
