By active voice we can speak the original language. By passive voice we can tell the same sentence by making subject as object and object as subject. hope it helps you

Transitive verb has two voice :

  1. Active voice
  2. Passive voice

Active voice :

=> when the subject is the doer of the action indicated in the verb and the this transitive verb called Active voice

Passive voice :

=> when the subject is the reciever of the action indicated in the verb and this transitive verb called Passive voice

Rules of changing into passive voice

  1. Subject and object are interchanging
  2. In passive voice always past particle form of verb is used
  3. If subject is known and subject put at end with 'by'
  4. Modals are generally followed by 'be' in passive voice

Examples :

1]  Tom had painted the door.

=> The door had been painted by Tom.

2] I had written an article.

=>  An article had been written by me.

3] Sonu had repeated the mistake.

=> The mistake had been repeated by Sonu.

4]  The man had drunk tea.

=> Tea had been drunk by the man.

5] I had cooked food.

=> Food had been cooked by me
