well ph is type of scale for the liquid and when ph is less than 7 it is a acid while above 7it is alkaline or base.7 is neutral

A pH value is a number from 1 to 14, with 7 as the middle (neutral) point. Values below 7 indicate acidity which increases as the number decreases, 1 being the most acidic.

An acidic solution has a high concentration of hydrogen ions (H^+  +), greater than that of pure water.


A basic solution has a low H^+  concentration, less than that of pure water.
