pH = - log [H+]

pH = - log 10^-3

pH = -3 × - log 10

pH = 3 × 1

pH = 3.0

The nature of the soft drink is acidic.

To Find :

  • pH of Soft Drink

Solution :

Formula for pH is :

\large \star {\boxed{\sf{pH \: = \: - \: \log [H^{+}]}}} \\ \\ \implies {\sf{pH \: = \: - \: \log \: 10^{-3}}} \\ \\ \implies {\sf{pH \: =   -3 \: \times \: - \:  \log \: 10}} \\ \\ \implies {\sf{pH \: = \: 3 \: \times \: 1}} \\ \\ \implies {\sf{pH \: = \: 3}}

pH of Soft Drink is 3 means acidic in nature.
