•It occurs in the Mesophyll tissues.

•The photosynthetic pigment of plants are Carotenoids and chlorophyll. Xanthophyll and Carotene are collectively called Carotenoids. Carotene is yellow in colour and xanthophyll is orange.

•There are two processes of photosynthesis - Light dependent phase which occurs in the presence of light in the grams of chloroplastids and Light independent phase which occurs in the absence of light in the stroma of chloroplastids.
