Answer :-

The process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize nutrients for their nourishment is called Photosynthesis.

Some requirements of photosynthesis to take place :-

  • Presence of carbon dioxide.

  • Presence of water.

  • In plants, in photosynthesis, require a green coloured pigment named 'Chlorophyll'.

  • Presence of Sunlight.

  • A temperature of 25°C to 40°C is needed.

Result ( product ) of photosynthesis :-

When the process of photosynthesis is completed, it releases Oxygen as a by-product.

Chemical Equation for Photosynthesis :-

 \sf6CO_2 + 6H_2O \binom{sunlight \: and \: chorophyll}{ \rightarrow} C_6H _ {12} {O _6 + 6O_2} \uparrow
