Example- Ice melting involves a change from a solid to a liquid and the substances maintain the properties of water because the molecules never change.

Physical change:-
Those changes in which no new substance are formed are called physical change.
• The physical changes are temporary changes which can be revesed easily to form the original substance.
• For ex :- melting of wax, melting of ice, tearing of paper etc.
