Definition of Pitch

Pitch of a sound is an attribute of the sound that tells us about its frequency. In other words, Pitch is a measure of how high or low something sounds and is related to the speed of the vibrations that produce the sound

Note

A sound that is at a high pitch, has a high frequency and a sound at low pitch has lower frequency.

Example : In a guitar a big heavy string will vibrate slowly and create a low sound or pitch.
