Pitcher plant is an insect eating plant. It has a container like part which is it's mouth where it releases a liquid which has a particularly attractive smell for insects.. so insects are attracted to them.. when it move near the plant , they get trapped and the plant releases digestive fluids and get the nutrition..

PS = it's a carnivore
