there are two cases

let us take a line segment AB

let the points p,q points of trisection AB

AP=PQ=QB

case 1: p divides AB in the ratio 1:2=m:n

case :2 : Q divides AB in the ratio 2:1=m:n

the formula is p(x,y)=[mx2+nx1÷m+n,my2+ny1÷m+n]
