➠ The transferring of the pollen grain from the male anther to a female stigma of a flower is known as pollination.
➠ There are two types of pollination :-
- a) Self pollination.
- b) Cross pollination.
★ SELF POLLINATION :
- The pollen is transferred to the stigma of the same flower from the anther is known as self pollination.
- Self pollination is said to be opposite of a cross pollination.
★ CROSS POLLINATION :
- The pollen is transferred from the anthers of the flowers to the stigma of the another flowers is known as cross pollination.
- Cross pollination is known as the opposite of the self pollination.
