Dear Student,
◆ Pollination -
- Pollination is transfer of pollen grain from anther of a flower to stigma of same/another flower.
- There are two types of pollination - self pollination and cross pollination.
- When transfer of pollen grain occurs from anther of a flower to stigma of same flower, it is called self-pollination. For example, rice, tomatoes, etc.
- When transfer of pollen grain occurs from anther of a flower to stigma of another flower, it is called cross-pollination. For example, sunflower, mango, etc.
Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
