Annually parliament introduces new laws that are known as unpopular laws. When these laws are not accepted by the people and are felt to be unfair they face criticism. Such laws which are unfair to any group are called controversial lawsLaws which are passed by the Parliament by due procedure but are repressive and are opposed by a large section of society are known as unpopular laws. Controversial laws are those which favour one section of the society against the other.
