Geotropism : It is caused by unilateral exposure to the force of gravity.
Main root of plant is positively geotropic and main stem is negatively geotropic.

Stimulus in geotropic movement or in geotropism is gravitational force
So, positive geotropism is the movement of root towards the gravitational force or towards the earth and in negatively geotropism we can say that the movement of shoot away from gravitational force or away from Earth takes place
