define power a motor is used to lift 50000 gram of water through a height of 30 m in 15 second. find the power of it kilowatt ( g = 100m/ s2)

Power in simple words refers to the rate of doing work.

Potential energy of water = mgh
= 50 × 10× 30= 15000 J

This potential energy is stored in the form of work done.


Power = W/t
= 15000/15= 1000. W = 10 KW
