Power is a measure of the rate at which work is done. Power takes into consideration the impact of time on work done. For example, a boy walks to school daily and covers a distance of 1 km into 10 minutes , however on one particular day he ran to the school and covered the distance in 5 minutes . To do the same amount of work he took less time and therefore, used more power.
