hello friends...
what is a power set?
answer:-
for any set A,
the collection of all the subsets of Set A is called the power set of A.
it is denoted by P(A).
in power set ,every element is a set .
also every element of P(A) is the subset of set A
for example if
A= { 1,3,5} then
P(A) = {Φ,{1},{3},{5},{1,3},{1,5},{3,5},{1,3,5}. }
here
every element of P (A) is a subset of set A..
and also,
if set A contains n no. of elements then power set of A contains 2^n elements
in the above example
set A contains 3 elements
here the power set of A contains 2³ I.e. (8) elements
