Pressure :

Pressure is the force (perpendicular) applied to per unit area.

OR

Pressure is the quantity of force applied at right angles to the surface of an object per unit area.

The S.I unit of pressure is pascal (Pa).

Mathematically

\bf pressure = \frac{Force}{Area}\\ \\OR\\ \\P =\frac{F}{A}

Now,

Pressure is a scalar quantity.

Scalar quantity :

Scalar quantity is anything that only has a magnitude (numerical value)
