Pressure groups:-

A pressure group can be described as an organized group that does not put up candidates for election but seeks to influence government policy or legislation. They are a vital link between the government and the governed and keep governments more responsive to the wishes of the community, especially in between elections. Unlike political parties, these groups neither contest elections nor try to capture political power.
