Principal Axis  

An Imaginary straight line passing through the both centres of Curvature of a lens is called its Principal Focus .

Principal Focus

When incident rays are parallel to the principle axis , then after refraction , the refracted rays either pass through or appear to pass through a point of principal axis . It is called its Principal Focus .
