In optics, a prism is a transparent optical element with flat, polished surfaces that retract light. At least two of flat surfaces must have an angle between them. The exact angles between the surfaces depend on the application.
Refractive index of the material of prism :
The refractive index of the material of prism can be calculated by the equation where, D is the angle of minimum deviation, here D is different for different colour.
The equation is given in the picture above....
