Proportionality constant is the constant that shows the relation between two quantities in mathematics .

If a term is proportional in a respect to some other term, its relation with the term is given by a proportionality constant that tells the ratio or the multiplicative relation of the two terms that is always constant.

Proportionality constant is used to remove proportionality sign and is usually indicated by k .

The Proportionality constant value (sometimes written k) relating amounts that rise or fall uniformly together.

The constant of proportionality k is given by following equation :-

K → \frac{Y}{X}

Here Y and X are two quantities that are directly proportional to each other.
