When the length of the Hypotenuse is missing, we can find it by using the following formula

a² + b² = c²

Where,

a is Leg 1

b is Leg 2

c is Hypotenuse

Example

Let a be 3cm

b be 4cm

And, we need to find c

3² + 4² = c²

9cm + 16cm = c²

25cm = c²

√25cm = c

5cm = c

So, Hypotenuse (c) in the following triangle is 5cm
