what is quadrilateral
=>A quadrilateral is a closed figure with four straight sides.it is a four sided figure .
=> in a quadrilateral Each point where two sides touch is called a vertex
there are 7 types of quadrilatrales
let us discuss them 1by1
=>1)
sqaure
=> a square has 4 straight lines where all 4 are congruent
=>the opposite linees anre always parelelel
=>all angles and sides are equal.
=> area = 4 *side
=>perimeter = side *side
2)rectangle
=>all angles are 90c degrees
=>Opposite sides are parallel and congruent.
=>Area = L * B
Perimeter = 2(L+B)
3) Parallelogram
=>Opposite sides are parallel and congruent
=>the opposite angles are congruent.
=>it is not 90 degrees
d
=>if diagnals are there then it is bisected into 2 triangles
=>Area = L * H
=>Perimeter = 2(L+B)
4)rhombus
=> All sides are congruent.
=>it is not 90 degrees
=>Area = (a* b) / 2
=>Perimeter = 4L
5)trapezium
=>The bases are parallel to each other
=>nothing is congruent [ sides,angles,diagnols]
=>Area = (1/2) h (L+L2)
=>Perimeter = L + L1 + L2 + L3
