Range = highest observation -lowest observation

Here, 70 is the highest observation and 38 is the lowest observation.

= 70-38

=32

Range=32.

Answer :-

  • Range of data = 32

Given :-

  • Data - 38,70,48,40,42,55,63,46,54,44

To Find :-

  • Range of data = ?

Explanation :-

As we know, to find the range of the data first we need to arrange this data in acceding or descending order.

  • Range :- In statistics, the range is the spread of your data from the lowest to the highest value in the distribution. The range is calculated by subtracting the lowest value from the highest value.

Arranging the data in 'Acceding' order :

⇒ 38,40,42,44,46,48,54,55,63,70

 \pink { \boxed { \bf \bigstar \; Range \; of \; data = Highest \; value - Lowest \; value \; \bigstar }}

\rm \odot \; Highest \; value = 70

\rm \odot \; Lowest \; value = 38

 \rm : \; \implies Highest \; value - Lowest \; value = Range \; of \; data

\rm : \; \implies 70-38

\bf : \; \implies 32

Hence, the range of the given data is 32.
