<font color="purple"><b>A rational number is any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two integers, a numerator p and a non-zero denominator q. Since q may be equal to 1, every integer is a rational number. A real number that is not rational is called irrational.

Example:- Since 3.14 can be expressed as 157/50 (that is a rational number), so 3.14 is a RATIONAL NUMBER. ... -2.6 is a rational number which can be written-26/10.

Numbers that can be written in the form of p/q where, p and q both are integers and q ≠ 0 are known as rational numbers.

Example : 3/4 , 4/5 etc.

Hope it helps :)
