If a number is expressed in a form of p/q then it is a rational number.Here p and q are integers and q is not equal to zero.A rational number should have numerator and denominator.Examples: 10/2,30/3,100/5

ex:-

 \frac{3}{2}  \\  \frac{1}{5}

and those real number which when presented in the decimal form they are terminating decimal or repeating non terminating decimal

ex

1.5 \\ 0.2
