Answer:

Reflection is the change in direction of a wavefront at an interface between two different media so that the wavefront returns into the medium from which it originated. Common examples include the reflection of light, sound and water waves.

Hope it helps :)

Reflection:-

Reflection is basically know as The process sending back light rays which fall on the surface of any object.

When light falls on the surface of an object, the object sends that light back and this process is known as Reflection. Basically we study reflection of light by using a place mirror. Plane mirror reflects almost all the light which fall on it.

In reflection of light, we connected to the terms Incident rays, Point of incidence, Reflected rays, Normal,Angle of incidences/reflection.

Let's know about this also :-

  • Incident rays :- The ray of light which falls on the mirror surface
  • Point of incidence:- The point at which the incident ray strike the mirror
  • Reflected rays:- The ray of light which is sent back by mirror
  • Normal:- The normal is a line which is perpendicular to the mirror surface at the point of incidence.
  • Angle of incidence:- The angle between incident ray and normal is called the angle of incidence.
  • Angle of reflection:- The angle between the reflected ray and normal is called angle of reflection.

Note:- Angle of incidence is always equal to angle of angle of reflection.
