Whensoever a light ray emerging from a source strikes a polished reflecting surface at certain angle of incidence (i) , it reflects at an angle of reflection (r) equal the incident angle . This phenomenon is called Reflection of Light.
A reflecting light follows two governing laws. They are:
- Incidence angle is always equal to reflecting angle for a light ray.
- The Normal , the incident point and the reflecting point all lie on a single point located on the same plane.
