To see reflection ,we need a surface which is smooth and reflecting .The more it reflects and the more is it’s smoothness,the more it will give a clear reflection or image .
Mirror is made up of glass which is smooth and have a silver coating behind it so it reflects nearly 99% of light .So we get a clear image in mirror .
But it’s not like that we can’t see our image in any other surface .We can see our image in a highly polished and smooth metal surface but it will not be of that much sharpness or crispness as mirror does .We can also see our image in clear pond water , but again it will be a faded one .
