REFLEX ACTION

  • Reflex Action is defined as a spontaneous response to any harmful stimulus.
  • Reflex Action has survival value.
  • Reflex Action is controlled by the CNS, the spinal cord to be more precise.
  • Response is initiated by exploiting past experiences stored in memory cells of CNS.

For example,

When our hand comes in contact with a hot object, hand is removed as soon as possible when before pain is perceived.
