Hi mate,
Reflex action:-
Reflex action is an involuntary and sudden response to stimuli. It happens to be an integral component of the famed survival instinct. From an evolutionary perspective, Reflex action played an important role in ensuring the survival of the organisms as it had enabled quick reactions to certain situations.
Some examples of reflex action:-
- When light acts as stimulus, the pupil of the eye changes its size.
- Coughing or sneezing due to irratation in nasal passages.
- Sudden withdrawal of the hand or leg when pricking with a pin
Hope it helps (•‿•)
