The Refraction of light is the change in direction (bending of light rays) when it passes from one optically transparent medium to another.

First law of refraction states that the incident ray, the refracted ray and the normal to the interface all lie in the same plane.

Second law of refraction states that for two given media, the ratio sinisinr=constantsinisinr=constant, where ii is the angle of incidence and rr is the angle of refraction

REFRACTION OF LIGHT:-

the bending of light rays when it passes from one medium to another obliquely is termed as a refraction of light.

LAWS OF REFRACTION:-

1:- The incident ray, refracted ray and the normal all lie on the same plane

2:-the ratio of sine of angle of incidence and the sine of angle of refraction is constant in a given pair of media. this law is also called snell"s law
