The Renaissance was a movement that started in 14th century in Italy and lasted till 17 century. Renaissance means "rebirth", and the thinkers of this period sought to rediscover and revive the learning of ancient Greek and Romans .The renaissance gave rise to SCIENTIFIC METHOD OF ENQUIRY ,that is ,learning by questioning, observing, and experimenting. It encouraged people to think about themselves and question old beliefs and superstition.

Renaissance ( pronounced as renassa or ranaissa ) is the term widely used to refer to the rebirth of any particular thing.
In the narrow sense, if we discuss the meaning of the term ' Renaissance ' then we can say that renaissance is defines as the revival or regain of the Greek as well as the Roman cultures, knowledge, classics, etc.

The first printing press was in fact set up in Germany in 1465 AD by Gutenberg. It is also required to be mentioned here that it was also introduced later in London by Caxton. With the passage of time, printing press also set up in places like Italy and Hungary. These printing presses helped in publishing books in greater number and hence facilitated widespread of knowledge.
