Republic- a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives. Secular- there is a clear demarcation between the State and Religion and state should be independent of any religion. Democratic- based on principles of democracy

A republic is a form of government in which the people ,or a body of citizen, retain ultimate control over the government , and the head of government is not a monarch.
Secularism is a belief system that reject religion should not be part of the affairs of the state of part of public education. The principles of separation of church and state of keeping religion out of public school system are an example of secularism.
