Hey mate, here is your answer: -)

A reserve is profits that have been appropriated for a particular purpose. Reserves are sometimes set up to purchase fixed assets, pay an expected legal settlement, pay bonuses, pay off debt, pay for repairs and maintenance, and so forth. ... Thus, funds designated as a reserve can actually be used for any purpose.... ... ... .

HOPE it helps to you!!!

hey mate!!

reserves are the subset of the stock, which can be put into use with the help of existing technical 'know-how' but their use has not been started. these can be used for meeting future requirements example-water in the same, forests etc are reserves which can be used in future.

hope it helps!!
